Capstone Design and Fabrication Resources

The College offers a wide variety of design and fabrication tools for you project. Please visit the College’s Experiential Learning Labs webpage to find out more about what the College offers.

Access to Fabrication Labs is restricted to those who’ve attended training (see below). The Fab Labs, excluding the Machine Shop student area, are accessible 24/7. Some tools and equipment require additional training prior to use.

Design Lab Orientation and Safety Training

Prior to receiving access to the College’s Experiential Learning Labs, you must first attend an Orientation and Safety Training session AND complete the Training comprehension quiz in the eLC course entitled, “Engineering Workshop Safety.” You must pass the quiz at 80% accuracy. Many of you may have already completed training as part of another course. That’s fine – your access remains throughout your time as a College of Engineering student.

Requests for Orientation, specialized training on equipment (laser cutting, waterjet, PCB milling), or fabrication support should be submitted to labsupport@engr.uga.edu.
