Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At the College of Engineering, we are committed to embedding the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) into our values, priorities, and everyday activities. We are developing a diverse college of engineering where everyone, faculty, staff, and students can feel welcome and supported and build a community in which they can succeed. By embracing different perspectives of ideas and thoughts, of every race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, life experience, and cultural background, we can contribute to addressing many of the challenging problems that are facing the state, the country, and the world. Our college and university have made great strides in their commitment to DEI in recent years; however, we know that there is still much to do. Our end goal is to foster an environment where students, faculty, and staff can thrive, feel safe, and be empowered to be their true selves.
