UGA Engineering Advisory Board
I. MISSION: To provide support and counsel on those matters that continuously improve the quality and relevance of UGA engineering programs and to identify future courses of action related to engineering at the University of Georgia. This mission shall be consistent with the mission of the University of Georgia.
II. PURPOSE: To serve in an advisory capacity to the Director, Faculty and Students of the Faculty of Engineering by:

Reviewing current status of the engineering programs and identifying future engineering opportunities that make the University of Georgia more effective in fulfilling its mission as a public land-grant university, |

Providing inputs that lead to strengthening existing academic programs and developing new ones to meet the needs of society, |
|
Advising on opportunities that lead to innovative research directions and partnerships most appropriate for the University of Georgia, |
|
Identifying outreach needs in which engineering has a significant role and fostering connections with entrepreneurial entities, and |
|
Supporting the Faculty of Engineering's need to continuously expand its financial base. |
