I am currently working on two projects both of which are funded by the University of Georgia.
1. Developing a microscope which uses adaptive optics to maintain high resolution when imaging deep into live biological samples using wide-field fluorescence microscopy.
2. Using structured illumination microscopy to increase resolution in high-throughput microscopy. Because high-throughput microscopy must use lower numerical aperture objectives, the resolution is not very high. I hope to show that increasing the resolution improves the ability of automated analysis software to differentiate between different phenotypes.
