UGA Chapel, September 12, 2007
A near capacity-crowd filled the UGA Chapel to attend the inaugural Distinguished Lecture in Engineering, delivered by Immediate past-President of the National Academy of Engineering William Wulf on September 12, 2007. "As I learned more about the engineering program at the University of Georgia, I got quite excited," Wulf said at the outset of his remarks.
Wulf went on to share some of his experiences during an eleven-year tenure as President of the NAE, and outlining the opportunities that exist for engineering at UGA he wove a narrative that included Thomas Jefferson, our responsibilities in a technology-intensive democracy and Theodore von Karmen.
