in the Faculty
Overview
The Faculty
of Engineering holds membership drives biannually.
The next open membership period in the Faculty will occur in Winter 2009.
The Faculty
of Engineering is a body of individuals working to advance comprehensive
engineering at the University of Georgia. Based on the principles of entrepreneurship,
boundarylessness and networking, the Faculty of Engineering is a learning
organization comprised of dynamic and evolving engineering academic, research
and outreach programs.
Members of
the Faculty of Engineering are located in academic units throughout campus,
engaging in engineering activities as they intersect with their own field
of study. Members benefit from having enhanced opportunities to seek extramural
funds, recruit graduate students, develop industry collaborations, and
access resources of the Faculty of Engineering.
Faculty of
Engineering programs are created at the confluence of the sciences, arts
and engineering - adding new dimensions to individual academic units at
UGA as well as to the larger University community.
