UGA Engineering Student-Athletes Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll

SEC logoThree University of Georgia College of Engineering student-athletes have been named to the spring Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll announced this week by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.

UGA Engineering students named to the 2016 SEC Honor Roll are: Samantha LaZear (softball), a biological engineering student from Comer, Georgia; Alexander Larsson (track & field), a mechanical engineering student from Uppsala, Sweden; and Helene Swanepoel (track & field), a civil engineering student from Wellington, South Africa.

The Spring Honor Roll is based on students’ grades from the 2015 Summer, 2015 Fall and 2016 Spring terms. To be eligible for nomination the student-athlete must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The College of Engineering students are among 80 UGA student-athletes named to the spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
