The Faculty
of Engineering is a new kind of engineering
unit organized to capture the convergence of the sciences, humanities
and engineering. Out of this collaboration emerge engineering outreach
programs that enhance economic development and quality of life for Georgians,
and prepare them to be global leaders in science, technology, education
and sustainable development. The UGA Biorefinery is a public/private project in renewable energy research
and development, in collaboration with the UGA Engineering Outreach Service.
