Award for Academic Excellence: Environmental Engineering
Since arriving on the University of Georgia campus, Sherine Kullmann has been committed to excelling academically while giving back to the university through involvement and leadership roles in campus organizations.
"Having a balance of academic and co-curricular involvement and responsibilities is of great importance to me," said Kullmann. "I have been able to enhance my leadership and communication skills as well as help other international students, just like me, adjust to the ways of life at the University of Georgia."
Kullmann is majoring in both environmental engineering and German. In addition, she is taking advantage of UGA's Double Dawgs program to obtain her master’s degree in environmental engineering by December 2022. Kullman is a member of the Tau Beta Gamma engineering honors society, UGA's chapter of Tau Beta Pi, and UGA’s alpha chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
Kullman is an active member of UGA’s chapter of Society of Women Engineers, a student ambassador for the College of Engineering, and Senior World Leader for the Department of International Student Life.
The College of Engineering Undergraduate Awards for Academic Excellence recognize one senior student from each degree program who has demonstrated exemplary performance in upper-level engineering coursework.
