Alex Breazu
Congratulations to mechanical engineering student Alex Breazu on taking first place in UGA’s 2023 FABricate Entrepreneurial Initiative competition.
Breazu developed Plantfi, a novel system to track plant moisture, sunlight, and overall houseplant health. He got the idea after overwatering and killing his fair share of houseplants. Plantfi aims to help save countless other houseplants from the same fate.
Hosted by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, FABricate is an entrepreneurial pitch contest where students develop their idea for a new food product, new agricultural technology, new food or agricultural-related business, or new environmental or sustainable business.
