"Equity, diversity and inclusion are overdue, but I am happy they are finally getting the attention they deserve. It is important to me because as we progress in this society, it is important to acknowledge that there are those who might be different from us. It is the choice to learn from your biases in order to create a more inclusive space that has importance to me."
