With 45 years of professional civil engineering and environmental consulting experience in design and management, Doris I. Willmer, PE is the Founder, President, and Principal Consultant of Willmer Engineering, Inc. and is responsible for the strategic direction and planning of the company. As a Principal Consultant, Doris serves as project manager for environmental engineering projects for infrastructure, commercial and private development throughout the southeastern United States.
Doris I. Willmer is currently on the Political Action Committee and is an American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) representative to the Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality Procurement Committee with the Georgia Department of Transportation. She has served as the President of ACEC from 2007-2008 and National Director from 2009-2012. In addition to serving as a National Director, Doris was selected as an ACEC Fellow and is a current member of the Fellows Executive Committee and a member of the Scholarship Selection Committee for ACEC sponsored scholarships. She is a Director of the Metropolitan Atlanta Council for Quality Growth Board and participates on the Membership Committee and Governmental Task Force. Since 2012, she has been a Trustee of the ACEC Business Insurance Trust, chairing the Strategic Plan Task Force in 2013 and 2017.
Doris holds a MS in Civil Engineering and Transportation as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign.
