Graduate Student, University of Virginia Department of Biomedical Engineering
Rob is a graduate student in the University of Virginia's Department of Biomedical Engineering. Previously, Rob worked three years at Juno Therapeutics as a Process Development Engineer where his role focused on designing systems to produce viral vectors used as gene delivery systems for CAR-T cancer therapies. His work spanned from early stage design of new processes for vector production to the late stage scale-up and commercialization of lab-scale vector production processes. Rob hopes to see processes his team has developed used commercially for patients in the near future.
