Sarada Sripada is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in Biochemical Engineering. Before UGA, she worked as a Research Associate at Aurigene Discovery Technologies, India, on screening and identifying potential antitumor agents through qualitative and quantitative biochemical assays. She also worked as a Project Assistant at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, India, on microbial lipases and their biotransformations. Her current research focuses on designing sustainable activated carbon catalysts from woody biomass for applications in the synthesis of fine and specialty chemicals.
